Updated Information for Saturday

The Ladies Aid have had a wonderful idea! They are going to donate any money made at Saturday's dinner to Jacob! All we need is for the youth to come and help serve and clean up. How wonderful is that?!?!

Pancake Breakfast

On Saturday, Sept. 5th , the youth will be hosting a benefit pancake breakfast for Jacob Hack. Please check the list below to see what you need to bring. Also, spread the word. We are hoping to raise a bunch of money for Jacob!

Youth need to be at the church by 6 am. Breakfast will be served from 7 am to 10:30 am. We need people to set up, cook, serve, clean up, and so much more!

See you bright and early Saturday morning!

Church Camp This Week

Don't forget our kids that are at church camp this week. Please be in prayer for the weather to be nice, everyone to have a great time, but most importantly pray for those kids who are there and are not saved. There are forty-something campers, twenty counselors, and the adults.

Update

The youth have been working hard to raise money this past month and we want to thank all those that came out and volunteered your time. We know how busy the summer months can be and we really appreciate all the help!

We are planning lots of fun things for this year so be sure to check back in for updates.

Congratulations Celtics!!

Our basketball tournament was a success! We had 5 teams (which was a perfect number for our first tournament) and made $250. Many people are already asking when we will be doing another one (we'll get back to you on that one).

Relay T-shirt Design

Just Announced!!

This is the winning design that will be used as the 2010 Relay For Life Commemoraitve Artwork on promotional materials, t-shirts, etc.

Now Selling World's Finest Chocolate!!

All 20 boxes of the World's Finest Chocolates have been passed out to sell. If you didn't get one (or two!!) and want one, let me know. We can order more if needed.

Each box has the following:
Almond
Dark Chocolate Almond
Milk Chocolate
W. F. Crip
Caramel

Each candy bar is $1.

If you can't sell your whole box, sell what you can and return it. We can pass it on to someone else.

Upcoming Dates

May 22nd and 23rd - 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament. $40 entry fee for each team. The event is scheduled for two nights, but may change depending on number of teams entering. If it is only one night, the tourney will be scheduled for the 23rd. Entry forms can be picked up this Sunday. Deadline for forms and money will be May 16th. This tournament is for ages 15 and older.

**Due to computer glitches, the forms were not ready this Sunday. They will be available Wednesday night. I am also working on getting a downloadable form linked to this website. Key words here are "working on." I've never done it before and am trying something new.**

Relay for Life

We will be having a Relay for Life meeting after church on Sunday (4/19/09). This meeting shouldn't last longer than 30 minutes. If you haven't turned in your participation form, please have it ready Sunday. If you need a form, leave a comment and I will bring you one Sunday to fill out.

**Each person needs to bring a bible, pen, notebook/paper, money for food both days and spending money.

**Breakfast will be free at the hotel on Saturday morning. Each person will responsible for buying supper Friday, and lunch and supper on Saturday.

**Room and car assignments will be given out at our next youth meeting.

**We are leaving the church at 4:00pm on Friday, March 13th. Please be on time. We need to be at the conference by 6:30 and want to have plenty of time to eat before.

**We are staying at Comfort Inn and Suites in Goodlettsville (http://www.hotel-rates.com/us/tennessee/goodlettsville/comfort-suites-goodlettsville.html).

Acquire the Fire

We have over 50 adults and youth going with us to Acquire the Fire in Nashville this year! We hope that this retreat will help us grow and become closer to God. We will be leaving the church at 4:00 on Friday (March 13th) and will not return until late Saturday night. More information will be coming on Wednesday night.
